Phyllis Trafton is an

the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She has the motivation
and ability to reconcile people back to the Lord Jesus Christ. She is a minister of the Gospel, married for
23 years, deaconess, author, currently working in the IT field, a graduate of
The Baltimore School of the Bible and most of all she
is an overcomer. She is the founder/CEO of “The Overcomers Network”, (LLC pending).
At the age of 34, Phyllis gave her life to the Lord Jesus Christ; and since then, it has been her fervent quest to experience His grace, mercy and love daily and to share that love with others. Ordained in 2005 by Pastors Linwood and Dr. Karen Bethea, Deaconess Phyllis has been a servant and faithful member at Set the Captives Free Outreach Center for 13 years. She has served in several ministries such as the Greeters Ministry, The Choir and Praise and Worship Ministry, Prayer Facilitator, Mentoring Program, Special Events Ministry and for the past 12 years she has been the Director of The Hospitality Ministry. She also completed and graduated from the L.I.T.E. Class (Leaders In the training experience) at Set the Captives Free Outreach Center. In addition, she is an author of the book titled” Daddy’s Little Girl & Mommy’s Dreaded Seed” which had its debut in March 2013. Additionally, she has been featured as a new and upcoming author in the Woodlawn Villager. Prior to becoming a member of Set the Captives Free Outreach Center, Deaconess Phyllis was on the P.A.C. (Pastor’s Advisory Council) Team at Faith Christian Fellowship in Randallstown Maryland.
Deaconess Phyllis received her E.T.A Certificate at the Baltimore School of the Bible in Towson Maryland where she graduated from biblical studies there. She has also completed and graduated from The School of the Prophetic in Baltimore Maryland. Deaconess Phyllis is currently in M.I.T. Class (Ministers in Training) at Set the Captives Free Outreach Center.
Having a heart of servitude and a standard of excellence is embedded in Deaconess Phyllis’s life. In addition to being a servant of God and a student of the Word, she allows her faith to be extended to the professional and community arena. Her call to serve those who think that they have to suffer in silence is one of passion, empathy, love and a desire to see women overcome adversity through the word of God and His practical application. She is committed to helping those who are struggling with adversity in their family setting and cannot see a way out.
Her book Daddy’s Little Girl & Mommy’s Dreaded Seed evolved out of a life that was consumed with pain, abuse and the murder of her father, to a life of an overcomer through Christ who restored her to wholeness and gave her beauty for ashes. Deaconess Phyllis also has a “Feed the Hungry” ministry where she feeds and clothes those who are living on the streets and in shelters in the Baltimore City area. She writes daily encouragement and uplifting blogs for her website for Over Comers called “The Daily Lift”.
In 2014 Phyllis Trafton partnered with ReInvent you in Pikesville Maryland to be the facilitator for a peer group called iJourney. The group meets every 4th Sunday in April. iJourney peer support groups were created to provide the support necessary to help you move forward in the healing and recovery process. Together we will grow step by step to bring you to a place of acceptance and peace.
In May 2014 Phyllis Trafton partnered with Dr. JiaJoyce Conway to form “Greater Beginnings”. Greater Beginnings is a female mentoring program. It is a faith-based initiative birthed out of two umbrella organizations, “Changed from the Inside Out, LLC”, and “Overcomers Network.” These two umbrella organizations have come together to develop a twelve-month woman’s mentorship program that will foster and promote a holistic lifestyle change for women who desire to overcome, be transformed and live beyond past challenges and adversity. Our target audiences are women ages 18-55 years of age.
Phyllis currently resides in Baltimore County, MD and is active in the community. Currently, she is completing her second book inspired by God. She believes that every day is a day to share the “Gospel and Love” of our Lord Jesus Chris
